Lauryn’s Story
Hey Friends! I’m Lauryn Dakota! I’m so glad you’re here!
Born and raised just outside Atlanta, Georgia, I grew up in a household where achievements and discipline were the norms. But over time, my faith felt more like a checklist of rules and reputation than a real relationship with Christ.
My life took a turn in high school when an injury ended my dreams of becoming a Division I track athlete. Without sports, I felt lost and without purpose. In college, I struggled to fit in with my peers. One night, I cried out to God in my dorm room. At that moment, He led me to write poetry again, which is one of the ways that I process my feelings and remember the Word. As I reflected on Scripture, I began to sense His presence again.
I’ve learned that my identity isn’t in accomplishments or what people think of me—it’s in who Christ says I am. Now, I write poetry and share it to encourage others to discern their thoughts and emotions through the Word of God. I hope my books inspire and motivate others to find strength and purpose in their relationship with Christ.
